For years I have contemplated starting two blogs: one for me as a teacher and mother and another for my students. I've been encouraged by the teachers at my school to share my ideas and classroom creations with others and a blog seems like the best venue to do this. So here goes...
As a teacher I am constantly asking questions and learning how I can improve myself for the sake of my students. Using teacher inquiry the last few years has really changed my thinking as a teacher and my students are reaping the benefits. This year I want to see how classroom blogging can improve my students' critical thinking, reading, and writing skills. However, how can I do this if I have never blogged myself? So I have yet another reason to start this blog.
My plan for this blog is to share the daily learning in my classroom, show my creations, and throw new ideas out and report how things went. It is also my way of learning how to blog so I can teach my students. I hope readers of this blog will learning something from my learning and share their own learning with me. I'm excited to get started!
